A riff on the 1930s Hollywood classic—bourbon, honey, and lemon, blood orange for the grapefruit.

Ingredients

• 4 oz bourbon (Buffalo Trace)
• 1 ½ oz blood orange juice
• 1 ½ oz fresh lemon juice
• 1 oz honey syrup

Method

1. Shake with ice.
2. Strain into a chilled coupe; express an orange twist.

Note. A riff on the 1930s Brown Derby—blood orange in place of the classic's grapefruit.
