Lande was the home farm of the family before Lehøvd. Hølje Sevatson was born at Lande—his grandson testified to that in 1676. Hellek Kittilson, who sold the Lehøvd share in 1580, also came to settle at Lande. The two families appear to have obtained their respective parts in Lehøvd by inheritance from Lande.

This is the farm history's account (Lehøvd Bygdebokbygdebok (plural bygdebøker) A Norwegian local history, usually a few volumes per district, going farm by farm through who lived there and when. Compiled from church registers, censuses, probate, tax and court records. The Kjemhus line comes from the ones for Flesberg and Rollag. All the words (1676 testimony)), as the Kjemhus page has told it. It hasn't yet been checked against the original records; a fuller write-up from them is to come.
